About this event
The ‘Natale in Casentino’ season turns the Arno’s first valley into a festive wonderland between the Immaculate Conception holiday and Epiphany. Historic borghi host Christmas markets, nativity scenes (presepi) and family events in the squares of Montemignaio, Poppi and surrounding villages, often close to the protected Foreste Casentinesi park. Montemignaio, the ‘Italian capital of the Christmas tree’, produces tens of thousands of trees each year and celebrates them with special seasonal markets, while Poppi’s medieval centre is famous for its traditional nativity displays. It is a typical, recurring calendar of cultural visits, walks and winter fun.
Happens every year.
