The Sagra del Tartufo is Chiusi della Verna’s great Ferragosto (mid-August) celebration, now in its 33rd edition (running since 1991) and scheduled for 14-17 August 2026. Set up at Parco Macchini near the Santuario della Verna, the festival celebrates the prized tartufo scorzone (summer black truffle) harvested in the Casentino and Valtiberina woods, served in antipasti, first courses, grilled meats and many other dishes. Food stands are open for both lunch and dinner - no reservation needed - with live music, shows and an artisan market of local produce adding to the lively atmosphere for adults and children alike.
