The Festa del Tortello alla Lastra in Corezzo, a tiny hamlet of Chiusi della Verna deep in the Casentino Forests, celebrates the village’s registered trademark dish: a potato-filled tortello (a kind of calzone) cooked on a red-hot pietra serena stone, which gives the pasta a crisp, hazelnut-coloured crust. The 2026 edition (30th, since the first in 1996/97) runs 12-14 August in the historic centre, with food stands open 17:00-23:00 each evening. Besides the food there is children’s entertainment and wooden games (Associazione DEVA) and a full stage programme (2026: Ricky Le Roy and Luca Pechino on the 12th, Dinner Voice Hilary, DJs Dave Molì, Miko DJ, Paolo Fei and Comakema); on Thursday 13th at 15:30 there is the ‘Boschi Sonori’ guided walk through the Vallesanta with a final aperitif, and Friday closes with a fire-and-music pyromusical show at 23:30.
