About this event
The Sagra della Polenta Dolce e del Baldino takes place every 8 December in Faltona, a hamlet of Talla set among the mountains of the Pratomagno. The festival honours two emblematic products derived from chestnuts: sweet polenta and baldino (castagnaccio). It opens with a lunch at 12:30 (bookable by phone), then from mid-afternoon the village fills with food stands serving chestnut-based specialties, where local producers offer chestnut flour, dried chestnuts, Faltona honey, jams, organic products, homemade sweets and Casentino pecorino. The Province of Arezzo has included it among the 15 ‘sagre di territorio’ selected for their tradition and cultural value.
